HEMISFERIO TABLE LAMP
HEMISFERIO is a table lamp composed of a sand-cast bronze base and a hand-carved volcanic stone top. The piece contains an LED light source inside the top, which reflects on the inside of the bronze base to emit indirect ambient light. The lamp contains a pivot point that opens and closes the sphere. It is an abstraction of Ecuador as the middle of the world, representing the equatorial line. It proposes to maintain a view towards the South, the northern hemisphere in stone and our southern hemisphere in bronze.
